Ponni raw rice is a variety which comes from the state of Tamil Nadu in South India. Developed there, it has now become a favourite in other states of India and most recently in other countries across the world. Heera Ponni Raw rice has a subtle, sweet taste and can be used to prepare dishes like Masala rice, lemon rice and is also served on its own or with curries. 2 Kg Bag

Heera Ponni Raw Rice Cooking Instructions:

Choose one of the following methods according to your usual practice of cooking.For best results, wash and soak the rice for 20-30 minutes. For cooking, add 1 1/2 times water to the quantity of rice. Closed Pan: Bring the mixture of water and rice to the boil in a heavy based pan and then cook through for a further 10 minutes, covered, on a low heat. Turn of the heat and leave to stand, covered, for a further 5 minutes. Microwave: Cover the microwave bowl with cling film, pierce and cook at the temperature specified for your microwave model. If using a 650W microwave oven, cook on high for 6 minutes. To reheat in the microwave, put on high for 3-4 minutes.
