Aloo Tikki is a popular North Indian Snack eaten most commonly as street food. Aloo Tikki is made from Mashed Potato with a hint of spices and coriander and shallow fried. Also, call paties and have with chutneys or Ragada-White Peas Curry. Alternatively, use Green Banana or Sweet Potato

Methods

1
Boil the peeled potatoes (alternative Green Banana , Sweet Potato ) until they are thoroughly cooked and mash (for smoother consistency you can grate the potatoes first). Then allow the potatoes to cool.
2
Mix in the rest of the ingredients one by one making sure everything is well mixed and together. Next you want to divide the mixture into equal sized patties.
3
Fry a few at a time in medium to hot oil until one side is cooked and then turn over. When both sides seem cooked keep turning the patties over for a short while until the whole tikki is cooked evenly.
4
Drain the oil by placing them on paper towels. Serve with Chutneys of your choice or make a sandwich with them!
